She thinks she’s tricky

When kids are little you write down when they sit up, say their first word or eat a new food.
By the time they are 6 that baby book is collecting dust on the shelf.

But today The Kid offered The Girl $5 to eat a grape.
Nothing gross, nothing weird, nothing green!
It was a nice, sweet, purple grape.

She took a bite…
I was on my way to dust off the ol’ baby book.
Then she said she had to go to the bathroom.

We watched her walk down the hall and told her that The Kid isn’t going to pay if she is just going to spit out the grape.

She walked back towards us…
She scrunched up her nose and gave the grape back (with a little bite taken out of it).

And she walked away from the

.
And the baby book is still collecting dust.

(I was just glad that she didn’t hurl!)
