We are approaching the end of the school season.
The Kid is getting excited about his 10th Birthday, which is coming up at the end of the month.
The weather is getting nicer.
The Kids are ready for summer.
I don’t blame them.
I’m ready for summer, too.
Driving them to and from and to and from school every day is getting old.
Trying to keep up with all the end of school year activities (field trips, teacher appreciation, planning for next year) is getting tiresome.
So I let them play outside in the afternoon and they’re loving it.
The Kid has a new glove for this baseball season so he’s working on breaking it in.
Then followed that beautiful season… Summer….
Filled was the air with a dreamy and magical light; and the landscape
Lay as if new created in all the freshness of childhood.
~Henry Wadsworth Longfellow
