He is Happy!

Brady playing games

“Allow children to be happy in their own way, for what better way will they find?”
~Samuel Johnson

It is Christmas Vacation and this is what I’ve been seeing of The Kid.
He isn’t fighting, he isn’t being rowdy, he isn’t complaining.
He gets his chores done, reads some books and then asks politely if he can play games.
I concede.
And for the next few hours this is all I see.
(Until it’s time to eat!)

I know, all the parenting gurus are hating on me right now.
There are probably a hundred studies showing how I’m ruining his future by letting him play games.
I think I have them all filed under the “I Don’t Give a Flying Rat’s *ss”

He’s 9 and it’s winter in Colorado - I’ll let him enjoy!

I love to see a young girl go out and grab the world by the lapels.
    Life's a bitch.
You've got to go out and kick ass.
