So we call them out on it when they start to feel the pains of this publicity.
Why would any sane person invite these strangers into their life?
That’s the price they pay for putting their lives out there for everybody to see!
It’s easy for me to say that I would NEVER do that.
I would never put my family through that.
Yet here I am.
I regularly post on Twitter, Facebook or this blog.
Okay, maybe not so regularly but you get the point.
Maybe I am sharing my kid’s latest adventure.
It might be my opinion about the latest drama in the media.
It could even be something as insignificant as the weather!
Regardless of the subject matter the bottom line is still the same.
I am choosing to put myself “out there” and when I do that there are consequences.
More importantly, when I do does that decision make me like them?
Like the people I consider “publicity whores”?
Maybe not.
But it does make me realize that I shouldn’t be so quick with the criticism!
Next time I’ll think twice before pointing any fingers!
(But have you seen the latest article about that one chick? What a f-ing publicity whore!)
