The Oscar Goes To Greg AKA My Main ManGreg Jones
I gotta think just putting up with me requires an award.
But this guy can match my sarcasm.
He can calm me when I’m fired up.
He supports me through all of my endeavors.
He makes me laugh and makes me happy.
Bonus points for being so good looking, too!

We have been together since I was 19.
He works hard and when he gets home he still has time to hang with the kids.
He is a great athlete and I love to watch him play sports.
But when it comes to the kids he’s not the pushy “sports parents”.
He cooks, cleans and in all the world there would never be anyone more made for me!

Yeah, I have one of the good guys.

In the Category of Sports Crazed Kid

Brady JonesThe Oscar Goes To Brady AKA The Kid
This kid has a long list of nicknames and the one he answers to most frequently is simply “B”.
He turned 10 this year and that means it’s middle school next year.
He is funny and tries to get out of trouble by flashing a half smile my way.
The Kid is an amazing big brother and has learned patience and tolerance.
He is a hard worker and gives his full effort…well, when sports are involved.
When it comes to school he’s more of a “do-what-he-needs-to-get-by” type of student.
So far it’s worked out for him but we’ll see how that works next year.

He prefers wearing his Jordan or LeBron shorts – even in the snow.
Tying his shoestrings seem like an overly tiresome chore he doesn’t have the time or patience for.
His room is always messy even when he thinks it’s clean.
But he can cook some great mashed potatoes and heats up microwave meals like nobody else!

Rachel JonesThe Oscar Goes To Rachel AKA The Girl
She is sweet, silly and sassy.
Did I mention that she’s Seven!
I’d have to say that she is a “girly tomboy” (if there is such a thing).
She loves sports during the day and enjoys snuggling with her babies at night.
She’s very tech savvy, crafty and imaginative.
She loves performing for cameras or taking the photos and videos.
She keeps us on our toes and we love every minute of it…well, most minutes!

She says things like, “I asked Santa to give everybody in our family have the best Christmas ever”.
How sweet is that?
Then she tells me she wants to be President when she grows up –
Or a teacher.
Or a pop star.
Let’s just say that she dreams big and dreams often.

These are the people who play an active role in this adventure called Life.
I love them, learn from them and laugh with them (or at them sometimes!)
Nobody “gets me” like they do.
And there is nobody I’d rather spend my life with.

I know, enough with the gushy already; right!
